Update: Rescheduled Zoom Meeting and Call for Nominations – Superintendent's Elder and Knowledge Keeper Advisory Council

We are providing an update regarding the Zoom meeting for the Superintendent's Elder and Knowledge Keeper Advisory Council, originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 19th. As we are still waiting to hear back from the leadership in all communities, the meeting has been postponed and will now take place on:

Date: Thursday, November 28, 2024
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

This session will introduce Elders and Knowledge Keepers to their roles on the council and provide an opportunity to share key information about the initiative. Following the Zoom meeting, the first in-person council meeting is planned for:

Date: Wednesday, December 4, 2024
Location: DoubleTree West Edmonton

Nomination Process

To establish this council, we have reached out to local First Nations and Métis organizations to assist with nominating Elders and Knowledge Keepers. If you know an Elder or Knowledge Keeper who may be interested, please reach out to your local First Nations or Métis organization.
