In recognition of Remembrance Day, Northland schools will honour, celebrate and remember and thank all those who have served and are currently serving Canada in times of war, military conflict and peacekeeping missions.

Paddle Prairie School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. All parents and community welcome!

Conklin Community School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony and mass starting at 10:30 a.m. Click here for more details.
Dr. Mary Jackson School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:50 a.m. Click here to view event details.
Elizabeth School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. All parents and community members are encouraged to attend.
Grouard Northland School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:45 a.m.
Fort McKay School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day service starting at 11:00 a.m. in the gymnasium.
Hillview School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 2:00 p.m. Students will make some presentations and the community is welcome to attend http://hillviewschool.ca/download/86633.
J.F. Dion School: The school will gathering students in the gym for a video presentation and talk at around 10:30 a.m. Then the students, staff, parents and community members will head over to the local park for a ceremony that includes poems, laying of the wreathes, moment of silence etc. Prior to this event teachers have been education students about the World Wars and about veterans.
Kateri School: The will be honouring veterans with a Remembrance Day Ceremony at 10:30 am. Students, staff, parents and community members will watch a In Flanders' Fields video, listen to students read poems, watch For a Fallen Soldier - About Today video, watch video of The Trews singing Highways of Heroes, two minutes of silence and the Last Post. St. Theresa School: The school is hosting a Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m.
- Opening Remarks: Principal Mandi McLennan
- Opening Drum Song from Frederick Gladue and the local group of drummers.
- O Canada will be sung by grade 1 students in Cree
- A blessing by an Elder
- Student Gerogia Molloy will read "In Flanders' Field
- Student Council members Kaiden Gagnon, Zaiden Sinclair, and Madisyn Chalifoux will be reading a short piece titled "The Flowers of Remembrance"
- Grade 5 students will be doing a choral reading of "Poppies Red"
- At 11:00 a.m. the school will have Jim Martens on bugle live playing the Last Post followed by a moment of silence and the Reveille
- Community members will lay wreaths in memory of the veterans
- Event will end with an honour song by the drum group and closing remarks by Vice-Principal Shelley Stevenson. Special guests will be RCMP, Veteran George D. Auger
Susa Creek School: The school will be having a visit from a veteran who will speak with students about the importance of remembrance and the poppy during the Remembrance Day ceremony on November 10th at 1 p.m. The school will also observe a moment of silence. In addition, students in grade 5, 6, 7 will participate in the Royal Canadian Legion's Literacy and Poster Contest.
