James Bourque appointed Gift Lake School Acting Vice-Principal

Northland School Division (NSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of James Bourque as Acting Vice-Principal of Gift Lake School.

James has been a dedicated educator with Northland School Division, teaching at Father R. Perin School in Janvier before moving to Northland Online School and now Gift Lake School. Alongside his work with NSD, he has also taught with Fort Vermilion School Division and Northern Lights School Division. His experience extends internationally, having taught in South Korea for the National Board of Education and in Saudi Arabia for the National Water Utility, as well as other global projects.

"James understands the context and our overarching goals at Northland School Division," said Cal Johnson, Superintendent of Schools/CEO. "I am confident that James is ready for this important leadership opportunity. I believe he will do an excellent job of supporting the principal and providing strong leadership for the school."

James earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. Outside of work, James enjoys golfing, woodworking, cooking, photography, reading, and writing.
