Laura Gach appointed Director of Finance

Northland School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Gach as its new Director of Finance.
Laura brings over a decade of experience in financial management and accounting. Most recently, she worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Mercer Peace River Pulp Ltd., where she was responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and supporting senior leadership. She also helped implement a new financial system across multiple divisions.
“Laura’s appointment reflects Northland School Division’s commitment to Responsible Resourcing, a key priority in our Education Plan,” said Cal Johnson, Superintendent of Schools/CEO. “Sound financial management is essential to providing quality education for the students and communities we serve. Laura’s expertise will strengthen our financial operations as we continue making strategic investments that help Northland students thrive."
In her new role, Laura will work closely with Secretary Treasurer Douglas Aird, providing financial oversight and strategic support for the division.
Laura holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and earned a Faculty of Management Degree specializing in accounting from the University of British Columbia.
