Three Northland schools selected for Physical Literacy Mentorship through Ever Active Schools

We are pleased to announce that three Northland schools have been selected for a Physical Literacy Mentorship through Ever Active Schools! Anzac Community School, Bill Woodward School and Little Buffalo School will be three of 50 schools in the province involved in the program. This initiative aims to provide professional learning opportunities and resources to support student personal growth and well being, while building community supports to the participating schools. During the Physical Literacy Mentorship, a teacher from each school will receive the following benefits:
- Teachers will improve their self efficacy around physical literacy
- Schools will be guided to adopt physical literacy initiatives through a Comprehensive School Health lens
- Teachers will be able to have their method of educating challenged
- Teachers will get connected to an Ever Active Schools mentor and other partnerships to support physical literacy
- Schools will receive $500 to support physical literacy resources for their students
- Schools will gain capacity to support student wellness and physical literacy
- Schools will receive 3-4 mentorship visits with Ever Active Schools mentor
