Northland School Division

We are hosting a number of start-up events for staff starting August 19th. The following information is for principals and new teachers who are participating in staff-event start-up orientation and training. This year, we are hosting orientation and training at Bill Woodward School in Anzac. For staff planning to stay in hotels, rooms have been reserved at the Microtel Inn and Suites (317 Sakitawaw Trail, Fort McMurray). 

New Principal Orientation:

Dates: August 19th-20th

Hotel Information: New principals are asked to check in on Sunday, August 18th and check out Thursday, August 22nd. Please call the Microtel Inn and Suites at 1-587-452-0533 to verify your stay under "Northland Block". The block of rooms will be available until Tuesday, August 13th, under Northland School Division.

New Teacher Orientation: (new principals join new teachers on August 20th)

Dates: August 20th - 22nd

Hotel Information: New teachers are asked to check-in on Monday, August 19th and check out Thursday, August 22nd. Please contact Human Resources Secretary Holly Friesen at 780-624-2060 ext. 6156 or email at holly.friesen@nsd61.ca by August 13th to confirm your attendance and accommodations. Accommodations will be provided at the Microtel Inn and Suites in Fort McMurray, which is a 35-minute drive from Anzac.

Principal's Meeting

Meals

Breakfast is available at the Microtel Inn and Suites. Lunch will be served from noon until 1:00 p.m. at Bill Woodward School. With respect to supper, dinner is on your own or as part of a group Monday and Tuesday. A group supper for staff is taking place on Wednesday, August 21st.
