“Greetings from the heart,” said Sharif. “As the new school principal at Gift Lake School, I'm deeply honoured to embark on this journey with you. I see this role not just as an administrator, but as a collaborator and advocate for Gift Lake students, families, and community. To the students, I encourage you to walk tall and proud. Your heritage is a gift, and your dreams have no limits. Embrace your education, ask questions, and let your spirits soar. To Gift Lake parents, your wisdom and guidance are invaluable. Let’s work together to build a strong partnership that promotes the holistic growth of every student—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. To the community, your involvement is vital to our school's success. Let's create a space where Elders are revered, cultural knowledge is shared, and everyone feels welcome. Together, let's build a school where our children thrive, their identities are cherished, and their futures are bright. I'm excited to walk beside you on this path.”
