Rosalind Best appointed Hillview School Principal

Northland School Division (NSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rosalind Best as Hillview School Principal. Hillview School is located in the East Prairie Métis Settlement. Rosalind has been a member of the Northland family since 2014. She has been a teacher at Father R. Perin School in Janvier and recently served as the Conklin Community School Principal.
“I am honoured to be appointed Principal of Hillview School,” said Best. “I look forward to working closely with students, staff, parents, guardians and community members. All of us working together will go a long way in helping students achieve success now and later in life.”
“Rosalind has great enthusiasm when working with students, staff and the community,”said Dr. Nancy Spencer-Poitras, Superintendent of Schools. “Her goal is to give students the opportunity to experience different learning activities and programs.”
Rosalind has taken many leadership roles throughout her career as an educator. In addition to serving as a school principal, she has worked as a land-based learning coordinator and a literacy lead.
Rosalind has a Bachelor of Education from Acadia University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Mount Saint Vincent University. Best also completed NSD’s Aspiring Leaders Program. The program is designed to support aspiring school leaders in the jurisdiction.
