NSD61 Welcomes New Secretary Treasurer

Northland School Division No.61 (NSD61) is pleased to announce the appointment of Trudy Rasmuson to the position of Secretary Treasurer.
Trudy brings over 10 years of experience in financial management to NSD61. She recently served as vice president of operations north for Vision Credit Union. Rasmuson earned a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She holds her Certified Management Accountant designation and is also a Certified Executive Coach. Trudy has been an active volunteer with the Canadian Cooperative Association. She participated in missions to Mongolia and has facilitated workshops through the Women’s Mentorship Program.
“Trudy’s years of experience in financial management will be a very important asset to Northland School Division,” said Donna Barrett, Superintendent of Schools. “We would like to thank Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) Consultant Dr. Leroy Sloan for facilitating this nation-wide search and for helping NSD61 hire a quality professional like Trudy.
When Rasmuson is away from the office, she helps her husband and son operate a 200 head-cow operation just north of Peace River.
