With Nutrition Month (March) just around the corner, NSD is launching a wellness challenge. Superintendent of Schools Gord Atkinson, Director of Student Services Stephanie Sutherland and Assistant Supervisor of Student Services Mandi MacLennan officially introduced the 'Instant Pot Challenge' on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

With support from the Alberta Healthy School Community Wellness Fund and NSD, schools are encouraged to purchase an instant pot to create healthy meals and promote the importance of eating together. Central office staff will also be participating in the challenge.

In addition to creating healthy meals and the importance of eating together, we will be asking schools and central office staff to share recipes so we can showcase healthy creations. As part of the announcement, NSD gave away an instant pot to one lucky school. Congratulations to Anzac School - Bill Woodward School Vice-Principal Amy Savill. She won the giveaway for being the first person to share a wellness activity the school has done this year.
