Northland Games Return to Anzac: Celebrating Student Athletes and Tradition

After being postponed due to wildfire concerns, Northland School Division (NSD) is excited to bring back the 2024 edition of the Northland Games in Anzac on September 19th. This highly anticipated event will gather hundreds of NSD student-athletes from across the province for a day of competition, tradition, and community spirit.
Originally scheduled for May 23rd, the Northland Games are a signature event for NSD, showcasing a blend of traditional Indigenous games and classic track and field events. From the heart-pounding excitement of the 100 and 200-meter races to the cultural significance of events like the Bone Foot Throw and Dog Sled Relay, the games provide a platform for students to embrace both athleticism and tradition.
