Minister of Education to visit Little Buffalo School

We are pleased to announce that the Honourable David Eggen will be visiting Little Buffalo School on Friday, September 30th. The visit will give the Minister of Education an opportunity to see the school's language and culture programs and see our division-wide literacy focus in action. The following events are scheduled to take place at Little Buffalo School:
- Minister of Education will tour the school with Official Trustee Lois Byers, Superintendent of Schools Gord Atkinson and Little Buffalo School Principal Crystal Colville
- Minister of Education will be reading a story with grade 5 students
- Robert and Ty Cardinal will be performing the Honour Song
- Grade 7/8 students will sing a Cree song
- Lubicon Lake Band Chief Billy Joe Laboucan to read a story in Cree
- Grade 7/8 students to present a PowerPoint that highlights literacy at Little Buffalo School
Following the school visit, Minister Eggen will be meeting with Lubicon Lake Band Chief and Council to discuss opportunities for improving education outcomes and enhancing opportunities for First Nation students. The visit will take place from 9:45 a.m. until noon.
