Local School Board Committee Chairs and Principals gather in Edmonton

The Local School Board Committee Chairs and Northland school principals are participating in a two-day workshop in Edmonton starting today. The workshop is an opportunity to review the role of the Corporate Board, Local School Board Committees (LSBC) and to have discussions about how LSBC's and principals work together. The division is pleased to have Terry Gunderson from the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) joining us on day 1. Terry's presentation will focus on keys to effective boards. The second day will look at the division's foundation statements and changes to administrative procedures.
