Indigenous Language Instructors attending 18th Annual CILLDI Summer School

Indigenous language instructors from Northland School Division (NSD) and Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council (KTC) are going to summer school thanks to an Alberta Education bursary! Seven NSD and four KTC Indigenous language instructors will be attending the 18th annual Summer School of the Canadian Indigenous Languages and Literacy Development Institute (CILLDI) through the University of Alberta (U of A) July 10-28. The instructors will be taking courses to gain expertise in areas such as linguistics, endangered language documentation and revitalization, language and literacy learning, second language teaching and curriculum development. While taking these courses, the instructors will be able to earn a university credit. More information is available on the U of A website http://www.cilldi.ualberta.ca/2017%20SummerProgram.aspx.
