Tansi, Edlanat’e, Hello students, parents, guardians, staff, community members, and education partners,

As we approach the end of 2024, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your hard work and continued support. The first-half of this school year has been filled with moments to celebrate success. Our first Tri-Annual Report for the 2024-2025 school year highlights the significant progress we’ve made in advancing the priorities outlined in Northland School Division’s Education Plan:

  1. Connections Supporting Reconciliation
  2. Holistic Learning
  3. Excellent People Supporting Students
  4. Responsible Resourcing

Visit the NSD website to view the report https://www.nsd61.ca/download/476943. The accomplishments showcased in the Tri-Annual Report are not possible without hard work, dedication and involvement from families, community members and education partners.

I also want to take a moment to discuss the 2023-2024 Annual Education Results Report (AERR). The AERR is one-way NSD communicates student achievement, accomplishments and priorities to the students, parents, community members and school division partners. The 2023-2024 AERR highlights increased high school completion rates and rising satisfaction from parents and guardians. Visit the NSD website to view the results https://www.nsd61.ca/download/475508

All of the successes Northland has achieved are designed to help students thrive. With all of us working together, there is no limit to the success Northland students can achieve.

During the holiday break, focus on staying warm and spending time with family and friends.

On behalf of Administration, Miyo Nipayamiha, Tedhyati Haretiya Watei, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The first day back for students is Monday, January 6, 2025.

Sincerely,
