Don Tessier appointed as Director of Student Engagement, Attendance and Completion

Northland School Division No.61 (NSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Tessier as Director of Student Engagement, Attendance and Completion. Don, who’s currently the principal at Pelican Mountain School, has been employed with NSD since 1993.
“I possess a range of academic and job-related experiences that provide me with an awareness of the role challenges and ample insight into successfully meeting objectives,” said Tessier. “I am confident in my abilities to work collaboratively with division staff and school communities to improve current student engagement, attendance and completion initiatives.”
Mr. Tessier will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of student re-engagement including attendance improvement and school completion efforts across NSD. He will be providing guidance to schools in their attendance initiatives and school completion efforts, but also the schools’ and division’s data management systems.
Don’s official start date as Director of Student Engagement, Attendance and Completion is August 15, 2018.
