Anzac Volleyball Players Shine on Provincial and National Stage

When school volleyball ended in December, five Bill Woodward Wolves Girls Volleyball players tried out for The Fort McMurray Thunder Club Volleyball Team. All five girls made the club teams. Briklyn Pratt, Masey Munro and Samantha Seawolt played in the U15 category and were joined by Mr. Jamie Landry (BWS JR. Volleyball Coach) as assistance coach. Emily Czibere and Javeleigh Sequin played in the U18 category, and were joined by Mr. Sean Ethier (BWS SR. Volleyball Coach) as their assistant coach.
The Thunder Club competed in numerous tournaments in Edmonton and Calgary between February and April. In May, both the Thunder U15 Girls team and the U18 Girls team headed to Provincials and then onto Nationals in Calgary. The Fort McMurray Thunder U15 team won gold at both Provincials and Nationals in their division, while the U18 team tied for third in their division at Nationals!
