Andrew Belsheim appointed Anzac School Principal

Northland School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Belsheim as Principal of Anzac School. Andrew has taught at Anzac School for the past four years in various elementary roles and has served as Acting Principal at Anzac School, Bill Woodward School, and Conklin Community School as needed.
Before becoming a teacher, Andrew graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Management Degree, majoring in Human Resources and Finance. He then worked as a project manager, leading teams and gaining valuable leadership experience. He later graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Education, specializing in Elementary Physical Education. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's in Educational Leadership through the University of Lethbridge.

I desire to celebrate the history of the school as well as the local culture, language, and traditions."
Andrew is also an award-winning educator. In 2021, he was nominated for Northland School Division’s Edwin Parr Teacher Award. After his nomination, he was selected as the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) Zone 1 Edwin Parr Teacher Award recipient. This prestigious award recognizes first-year teachers who demonstrate exemplary dedication and commitment to education. Andrew is the third NSD educator to win the Zone 1 Edwin Parr Teacher Award.
