Thomas Wall appointed Acting Principal at Gift Lake School

Northland School Division (NSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Wall as Acting Principal at Gift Lake School. Thomas brings 30 years of teaching experience to the NSD family. Before joining the jurisdiction, he was a learning coach at John Arnalukjuak School in Arviat, Nunavut.
“I am here to work in the best interest of students, teachers, and parents,” said Wall.
Wall’s career in education has taken him all across Canada. In 1990, he started out as a special education teacher with the Prince George School District. After 10 years in Prince George, Thomas became a school principal in Tsleil-Waututh, British Columbia. In Alberta, Wall worked as a pervasive needs teacher with the Calgary Board of Education and Red Deer Public Schools and as an all subjects teacher with the Craigmyle Hutterite Colony School. From 2015-2017, he served as special needs teacher with Mamu Tshishkutamashutau-Innu Education in Natuashish, Newfoundland.
Wall has a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in social studies, math, general sciences and special education from the University of New Brunswick. He also has a principal certification for First Nations schools from the University of British Columbia.
