Vote to help send Kateri School students to Nova Scotia!
Posted on March 14
Keep the votes coming! Junior high students at Kateri School are participating in the Parks Canada contest Canada's Coolest School Trip and with support of students, parents, guardians, grandparents, elders and community members, they could win a school field trip to Nova Scotia June 5-9, 2017! For this contest, students were tasked with selecting a national park to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary and creating a video explaining their choice and what the park has to offer. According to school's video description on the My Park Pass website, students chose Wood Buffalo National Park because of its cultural, historical and natural significance. They noted that Indigenous peoples have lived on the land for many years.
To help send these students to Nova Scotia, take a few seconds every day until March 24th to vote for Kateri School students. Every vote gets the school closer to the top 12 videos, which are the ones that go on to the final judging round. A valid e-mail address is required to vote.
