Acting Superintendent of Schools/CEO appointed by the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees passed a motion to appoint Cal Johnson as Acting Superintendent of Schools/CEO.
Mr. Johnson has been a part of the Northland team since 2016. During his tenure, Cal has served as Principal at Conklin Community School, Anzac School - Bill Woodward School, and as Associate Superintendent - High School Completion/Numeracy/Literacy.
Mr. Johnson brings 29 years of experience as an educator in three Canadian provinces to the Acting Superintendent of Schools/CEO position.
“We are looking forward to Cal’s many years of experience helping to effectively move Northland forward and achieve the board’s vision,” said Cathy Wanyandie, Board Chair.
Cal holds a Master’s degree from the University of Calgary. He also earned a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Bachelor of Education, both with honours from the University of Manitoba.
Mr. Johnson will serve as Acting Superintendent of Schools/CEO until a new Superintendent of Schools/CEO is hired.
