NSD mourning loss of staff member

It is with shock and sadness that we confirm the loss of a Northland School Division (NSD) staff member.
Lee Haroldson, Teacher at Mistassiniy School (Wabasca-Desmarais). He was chaperoning students to the Indspire Empowerment Gathering in Winnipeg and passed away of natural causes overnight in Edmonton. Mr. Haroldson, who has been an employee with Northland School Division for many years, was a dedicated educator who cared very deeply about the success and well-being of each student.
In order to support our students and staff during this difficult time, we have made arrangements for family wellness workers and grief counselors.
The entire Northland family will miss Mr. Haroldson very much and will spend many difficult moments grieving his loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lee’s family, as well as all the families affected.
